A hospital kitchen needs to make a fruit salad that contains at least 6,500 units of vitamin A and 1,800 units of vitamin C. Data on five available fruits are shown in the following table.

It is estimated that at least 24 pounds, but no more than 32 pounds, of fruit salad will be necessary. The following goals (in rank order) need to be considered for the mix:

Rank 1: The salad should cost no more than $30.

Rank 2: At least 6 pounds of bananas should be in the salad.

Rank 3: At least 3 pounds of pears should be in the salad.
